BRIEF:  Starting from your interests, intuitions, and experiences, seek evidence to support an identified problem you'd like to address with a social design response (i.e. campaign, intervention, or initiative that seeks to make a difference to the problem). Undertake desk research and write a problem statement supported with evidence; conduct precedent and observational research; and gain social insights into your topic by speaking to representatives of your audience and/or stakeholder group.
Finally, write a summary of the key insights from your research that you can build on in creating your design response. In completing this report with genuine curiosity and integrity, you should develop a clear understanding of the problem you want to address, the change you want to make, and the key change agents who will help you to make it.
